Osiris uses the terms 'Enrol', 'Test' and 'Unsubscribe'.

• 'Enrol' is also register for a test.
• 'Unsubscribe' is used for deregister.

1.  Osiris works best on a PC or laptop in combination with Google chrome or Mozilla Firefox
2. There are specific moments to enrol for a course, minor or test. Make sure you know when these moments are and enrol on time. Check other sources if you do not know when the enrolment  period is open. Consider whether you want to participate in the minor/course or tests that are open for enrolment. Unsubscribing from a test is also regulated through these specific enrolment moments.
3. Enrolling for the correct tests: do not enrol for tests that you will not take during this period. enrolling for a test = using an opportunity. And you often only have 2 opportunities per year per test. These rules can be found in the Education and Examination Regulations (EER) of your study program. You have to enrol for everything that will deliver a result and credits, so also for hand-in assignments and oral tests.
4. After you have ticked the correct choices, do not forget to click on the 'Confirm Enrolment' button as confirmation. This is essential in order to be enrolled.
5. Don't leave the page immediately after clicking the 'Confirm Enrolment' button, (see steps 5 and 6).
6. After clicking this button, a confirmation of enrolment will appear briefly at the bottom of the screen. If you don't see the confirmation, you are probably NOT enrolled.
7. Check under 'My enrolments' via the tab 'Show My enrolments' whether your enrolment was successful. If something went wrong, correct it immediately.

If something went wrong with your enrolment for a test and the enrolment period has expired, you can still register up to five working days before the test via a button in Osiris Case:

• Start Case: General: Late registration request.

An administration fee of € 20 per Case application (not per test) will be charged. It is not possible to enrol less than five working days before the test date.

Note: Different enrolment / registering rules apply to some programs. Check what applies to your study program in the Education and Examination Regulations (EER) of your study program or consult other sources for this information.

When you click on the 'hamburger' menu, the explanation of the icons will appear.

When you click on the question mark, which is present in every screen, more information about that screen will be shown.

If you choose 'Enrol', the following screen appears.

For example, choose Test and an overview of courses for which test enrolment is opened will be shown. Choose one of the courses below by clicking on the red dot with the arrow in it. If nothing appears, the enrolment has not (yet) been opened. Check in other sources when enrolment is possible.

The tests associated with the course that are open for enrolment are shown here. Tick the right box and click on the red dot with the arrow in it at the bottom right. Always leave the filter “only from my regular program on” checked, otherwise you will see tests that are not part of your program!

Uncheck this filter if you want to enrol for an Avans minor or a course as a free choice outside of your program.

If facilities (extra time, use of laptop, etc.) are applicable (registered via a student counsellor), you can indicate whether you want to use them for the relevant test. Then click on the red dot with arrow at the bottom right.

Then a screen appears asking you to check and confirm the enrolment.

After confirmation, the message 'Test enrolment successful' will appear at bottom of the screen for a brief period of time. You can then enrol for any other tests in the same way.

If you click on the less than sign (<) in the top left corner, the Enrol menu appears again.

If you can't find the Course or Minor you want to enrol in, choose Course catalogue in the menu on the left side of the screen.

From this Enrol menu you can click on 'SHOW MY ENROLMENTS'

The following overview appears. New or recent enrolments can be recognised by the red dot.

When you click on the enrolment, information about the enrolment will appear, for example the date and time of the test. You can adjust the facilities here or unsubscribe for this test.

If you try to enrol for a test, for which there is already an enrolment active or for which the enrolment is not yet open, you will receive the following message.

You can easily unsubscribe by clicking on an enrolment via the 'SHOW MY ENROLMENTS'. The Unsubscribe button will then appear at the top right.

Osiris will always come up with a notification that must be confirmed, so you can always change your mind.

If you have actually been unsubscribed from the test, the message 'You are unsubscribed from this test' will appear at the bottom of the screen.
