To be used for: writing (coaching)notes for one or more students;
To be used by: teachers, study advisors, coaches, SLBers, deans, IO staff, and front office educational support staff.
To be used because : notes saved in the Osiris environment are safe and are available for students to see. Personal and private information remains unseen to colleagues who do not yet need the information.
Watch the video 'notes' whereby this function is explained. The film shows you how you can make a new 'note' for a student, how you can edit a note, how you can standardise the security rights, and how you can add a decision.
Here below we will look at a few extra functions:
How do you adjust the security when sharing notes?
Changing the security of older notes made in the old Osiris environment is only possible within the old version of Osiris. In order to do this you can go via the new Osiris back to the old Osiris version by choosing 'Go to old lecture/supervisor' from the menu at the top
Choose a student, click on notes and choose the tab ' Authorisation'
Choose the tab you wish to authorise, in this case 'Limited accesible and accesible notes'
Choose who can read your student's notes:
- Supervisors
- Employee group (groups; are made by the academy)
- Roles (for example a coach or SLB coach)
- By choosing coach or employee group you may limit the visibility of the note from the current coach. This maybe the intention but often not, this depends on the nature of the note's content and the employee group
This procedure is standard for all students. In the new Osiris programme you change the standard options for each note.
Make a note for a group of students:
- Select from the 'Student' menu (after conducting a search) the students who you would like to send a note to: Click on make a selection at the top and check the boxes of the students who you wish to make a note for.
- Choose from the 'Actions' menu, 'new note' and a pop up will open where you can type a new note. (make sure pop up blocker is off) and send it to all the selected students.
